Quickly and easily install a 4-way trailer connector on your vehicle with this custom wiring harness. T-One connector plugs directly into existing wiring. Powered ModuLite reduces strain on wiring system.

Installation
This custom-fit T-One connector plugs into your vehicle's wiring harness, which is located behind the driver's-side and passenger's-side tail lights. You will have to remove the tail light assemblies to access this harness.
Once you've plugged in the T-connector, run the hot lead up to your car battery. Connect the lead to the included fuse holder, and then connect the fuse holder to the positive terminal on your battery and insert the provided fuse.
Once installation is complete, the 4-way flat connector will be stowed beneath your vehicle, near the trailer hitch. A mounting bracket (sold separately) is recommended to keep the connector secure.
It is recommended that you use a small amount of grease on all electrical connections - the plugs on your automobile and the 4-pole connector itself - to help prevent corrosion.
A ModuLite power module is built into this T-One connector. With a ModuLite, your trailer's lights will be powered without overloading your vehicle's electrical system. Because the module draws power directly from your car's battery and bypasses the electrical routes that are used by a basic wiring harness, there is virtually no draw on your tail light circuits.

I purchased this as part of a package which included; Hitch and wiring for my 2022 Equinox, Base plate, Tow Bar, brake System and connecting air hose, break away cables, LED tow lights with wiring harness, and a trickle charger to keep the Equinox battery from going dead while I was towing it behind my class A RV.
I had etrailer do the install of all the components on my car and RV. All the workmanship was excellent and done in the amount of time they said it would take. Also because they did not have a video of this equipment being put on this year and model vehicle, I gave them permission to make a video(which added a extra day and a half to the install)and the installation was free. Everything has worked perfectly and I couldn't be happier. Etrailer is my go to for anything towing and also RV parts.
The wiring harness was just what I ordered, and moreover the customer service was excellent. When I called to complain that the wiring harness was the wrong product and demanded a refund, Tiffini remained professional and cheerful in spite of my rude manner, and was able to contact a technician and help me to realize where I'd gone wrong. Works as it should
This was the wrong part for my car. But I did not want to give it a poor rating because of that error. I am writing this review to prevent that error for others. BEFORE buying this, determine if your Equinox has the factory package. Watch this video and at about 2:20 minutes into it you will see a connector. Mine is identical to this, red tab and all. So now I have ordered the correct part which is C56375.

The T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector - #118759 for the 2018 Equinox Primer was a perfect match to the factory connectors. The directions were easy to follow and the kit included everything needed to complete the installation. When I bought this vehicle I knew I was going to install a trailer hitch w/wiring so I had the dealer install the 12 volt wire from the battery to the back of the vehicle for the power the module. This made the rest of the installation very easy.
I actually got this kit just for the purpose of getting the splitter for the factory connectors so that I didn't have to cut into the factory wiring harness to add diodes and the lights for the SMI Stay n Play braking system. It worked out great. I can just remove the diodes from behind the brake lights if I ever want to return to the standard factory setup.
The kit is exactly right for the job with this car. I ended up buying some 3/8 rubber air line and fishtaping the hot wire through it to route under the car and through the non moving parts at the front and rear. I filled each end with silicone to seal it off and it really looks pretty good. Hopefully that'll protect it as long as I have the car. The only thing I'd add is the connectors behind the taillight leave little room for error. I felt like the driver's side went in a little too tight, I may take it back out to make sure it's in right. Overall I'd fully recommend this kit.
The tails going to the tail lights need to be 1” longer.
I had the converter mounted as close as it gets. One end or the other was short by 1”. A couple of heat shrink butt splices did the job.
Simple to order. Fast to get delivered. Good installation instructions (that I could share with the mechanic who did the wrenching.) This is the second time I have used etrailer for hitches and I am very pleased.
Delivered in a short time. No fuss trying to finding the correct wires, just plug in connect to battery and ready to go. Hitch looks great just need to mount it.
